yes yes another two tier cake order for my dear friend shyanne and her theme was summer! This time she gave me a more difficult task- fondant and flowers.
So she requested for a rainbow interior with fresh flowers on top of the cake. Besides the cake, there was another 21 cupcakes to prepare and 60 cake pops on a flower vase. Because i was so frantic and excited over the cake, i totally forgot to snap some photos of the cake pops and cupcakes. And all the photos from this post was from my helpful iPhone. Indeed, iPhone did not let me down.
Yeah, as you can see there are still many (and i mean really MANY) flaws on the cake (gah!). it started to shaw lines and cracks once i lay the fondant and started to "sweat" a little. i was panicking and even resort to switching on my fan to cool it down. well, i don't really know the answer to it but my guess would either be that Singapore is too humid, or that the buttercream was too chilled ( i put it in the freezer thinking it would set faster) and it condensed too quickly that's why. it was again a little uneven but so much better than the previous time. just a tiny wee bit. but fondant was a pain that day. maybe i wasn't doing it right. blah. more practice i say!
